The Neon Museum would like to thank 2022 Artist Residency guest juror Carmen Beals for sharing her expertise reviewing a stand-out field of artist residency finalist submissions. Considering the artists’ demonstrated skillsets, composition of works, experimentation of thought, and creative utilization of materials, she stated, “each submission was so beautiful and comprehensive, the selection process was harder than I anticipated!”
Carmen Beals serves as an associate curator and outreach director with the Nevada Museum of Art. She is a session speaker at The Neon Museum’s upcoming “Duck, Duck, Shed” architecture, design and culture program and has curated “Janna Ireland on the Architectural Legacy of Paul R.
