A bird has flown into the Neon Museum's Ne10 Studio!
This iridescent bird sculpture is the logo of MGM resident DJ Tiesto. It has beautiful, geometric shapes which shift in color ranging from green to pink with pastel colors in-between. The Neon Museum is known for collecting old signage, but we added this newer piece to the collection because it serves as an example of the popularity of DJs in the Las Vegas Strip nightclub scene. The sculptural sign lived at MGM's Hakkasan nightclub, but DJ Tiesto brought the bird along with him sometimes for specific shows like the Electric Daisy Carnival. A new sign is being created for DJ Tiesto so MGM donated the beautiful bird to the Neon Museum. It currently resides in the Neon Museum's Ne10 Studio, a warehouse space used for arts and educational programming.
